Anna has built a distinguished legal career spanning more than 25 years, combining a strong commitment to client advocacy with a talent for clear and compelling communication. Her practice is centred on assisting clients to share their experiences in a way that fully conveys the impact of their legal matters. Beginning her career representing insurers and large corporations for over a decade, Anna gained extensive experience in workers compensation, motor vehicle and public liability insurance, as well as disputes involving defamation, contractual matters, and financial misappropriation. This background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of both sides of the legal landscape, enhancing her ability to advocate effectively for individuals. Anna now focuses primarily on plaintiff personal injury cases and related areas. She handles a broad range of matters including motor vehicle and public liability claims, workers compensation and work cover decisions reviews, total and permanent disability (TPD) claims, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) appeals, coronial inquiries, family provision applications involving wills, and professional negligence claims. She has appeared in numerous courts and tribunals, among them the Queensland Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, District Court, Federal Court, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, and the High Courts of Australia and Hong Kong. Her work extends to common law damages claims for negligence in workers compensation, aviation-related claims, as well as superannuation and TPD disputes. Anna’s client-focused approach is complemented by her strong litigation experience and her ability to present complex matters clearly and persuasively. Anna’s contribution to the profession includes teaching and mentoring expert witnesses, having helped over 1,000 students develop skills in expert reporting and courtroom presentation. She is a faculty member at Bond University, where she developed a postgraduate subject on expert witness procedures and dispute resolution, and she created an online course titled Expert Witness Coach to support professionals entering expert witness roles. Her commitment to excellence has been recognised through nominations for awards such as Queensland Lawyer of the Year (Sole Practitioner) in 2024 and Special Counsel of the Year at the Australian Law Awards in 2021. Anna’s career embodies a dedication to both effective legal advocacy and the education of future legal and expert witness practitioners.
