Andrew Gough

Andrew brings a unique combination of town planning and legal expertise to his practice, having worked extensively in both local government and the private sector before commencing his legal career at Storey & Gough. His background equips him with comprehensive knowledge of planning and local government law, enabling him to effectively advise and represent clients on a range of matters including policy development, planning procedures, environmental offences and planning disputes. Andrew also handles issues related to certification and compliance under the Building Professionals Act 2005. He has considerable courtroom experience, regularly appearing in the Local Courts, District Courts, Land and Environment Court, and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Andrew’s client base is diverse, encompassing several Local Councils as well as private developers and accredited certifiers. Committed to staying connected with his professional community, Andrew maintains links with town planning organisations such as the Planning Institute of Australia, and holds membership with the Environmental Planning and Law Association and the New South Wales Law Society. Outside of his legal work, Andrew enjoys surfing and water-skiing along Sydney’s Northern Beaches, balancing his professional commitments with an active lifestyle.
