Dick Burr

Dick Burr is a director and founding partner with extensive experience in all aspects of property law in Queensland. Prior to co-founding Stewart Burr and Mayr Lawyers, Dick spent seven years as a partner in the Property & Projects team of a leading Brisbane law firm. His career also includes significant roles as an associate at the London offices of White & Case and Berwin Leighton Paisner, both prestigious international law firms. Dick’s practice encompasses a broad range of property law matters, including advising property developers and buyers on mixed-use developments, portfolio acquisitions and disposals, infrastructure projects, international transactions, property finance, sales and leasebacks, as well as commercial, industrial and retail leasing. He plays a key role in due diligence, acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, and the sale of various property types such as shopping centres, commercial office buildings, service stations, hotels and resorts, industrial properties, and development sites. Dick advises a diverse client base, including listed companies, banks, private property developers, property trusts, private corporations and individual investors, reflecting the depth and versatility of his legal expertise. He is admitted to practise as a solicitor in the Supreme Courts of Queensland, New South Wales, and England and Wales. Dick is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Law Society of England and Wales, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to professional development and high standards within the legal profession.
