Steven Clark

Steven Clark has practised general law since his admission in 1983, following the completion of his Bachelor of Laws at Adelaide University and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the former Institute of Technology, now University of South Australia. In 1985, he established Steven M Clark Lawyers in Gawler, where he remains principal, managing a broad legal practice. Steven has resided in Gawler with his family since 1971 and is deeply involved in the local community. He contributed significantly to the founding of the Trinity College Foundation and the Gawler Health Service Foundation early in his career. Currently, he serves as a Director and Club Solicitor for Central District Football Club in the SANFL, supporting players and club operations. He has also held directorships with the Trinity College Foundation, Gawler Hospital Foundation, and Gawler Business Development Board. Recognised by the Rotary Club of Gawler Light with a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2016, Steven is committed to assisting those facing disadvantage, including advocating for a free legal assistance scheme in the Gawler area. His practice initially focused on personal injury law but has shifted towards matrimonial and de facto law following recent legislative changes. He has been a registered Public Notary since 2004. Outside of his professional life, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife, seven children, and grandchildren, as well as engaging in football, gardening, photography, running, and general fitness.
