Geoff Roberson

Geoff Roberson is the Principal and Managing Director at Stacks Champion in Parramatta, bringing over 40 years of experience in commercial law and litigation. Accredited by the Law Society of NSW in Commercial Litigation, Geoff has extensive expertise across a broad range of legal areas including corporate law, partnerships, trade practices, building and construction, insolvency, employment, professional negligence, local government, planning and environment, product liability, guarantees, trusts and estates, defamation, and contract disputes. Throughout his career, Geoff has represented clients in significant matters heard in the High Court, Supreme Court, Federal Court, District and Local Courts, as well as various tribunals. He offers strategic legal advice to boards and management teams, particularly on the Corporations Act, covering issues such as corporate constitutions, governance procedures, directors’ duties, employee incentive schemes, and compliance with conflict of interest and disclosure obligations. Beyond his legal practice, Geoff has contributed significantly to the community. He has held leadership roles including President of the Law Society of NSW and President of the Parramatta Rotary Club. He served as a councillor for the Parramatta City Council for over four years and has been involved with the Parramatta City Chamber of Commerce and Artswest. Geoff has also been engaged with Western Sydney University as Deputy Chancellor and was the founding Chairman of UWS Connect and Television Sydney. Additionally, he chaired the Whitlam Institute for more than a decade. Geoff’s professional recognition includes being an Emeritus Member of The College of Law, receiving an Honorary Doctorate from Western Sydney University, and holding life membership with the Law Society of NSW. He has also been honoured as a Paul Harris Fellow. His legal expertise encompasses business disputes, commercial and corporate law, debt recovery, insolvency, intellectual property, bankruptcy, consumer claims, defamation, disputed estates, estates and probate matters, as well as wills and wealth protection.
