Geoff Baldwin

Geoff Baldwin is a consultant lawyer at Stacks Champion, Parramatta, bringing a diverse background that spans senior management roles in public and tertiary education sectors, independent consulting, and extensive legal practice. Admitted to legal practice in 1977 after initially training as a scientist, Geoff’s legal experience covers industrial relations litigation, commercial and administrative law, property and leasing matters, as well as workplace law. Throughout his career, Geoff has appeared before various employment tribunals and provided instructions for cases in the Supreme Court. His expertise includes handling property transactions, commercial leasing and licensing, commercial contract negotiations and advice, and workplace-related legal matters such as employment law, safety regulations, and compliance. Additionally, he has conducted investigations into workers compensation claims, corrupt conduct, and misconduct. Geoff has held director-level management positions within the Department of Education, Western Sydney University, and the NSW State Transit Authority. He has also contributed as a mentor at the Sydney University Graduate School of Management. In his capacity as a consultant, Geoff has advised large organisations across both public and private sectors. Outside of his professional work, Geoff is actively involved in community sports, serving as a current board member and former president of Western Sydney Two Blues Rugby, and has previously been a board member of Sydney Rugby Union. He enjoys playing live music in his spare time. His legal practice encompasses business buying and selling, business succession planning, commercial and corporate law, commercial property, employment law, franchising, and conveyancing.
