Donna Abu-Elias

Donna Abu-Elias is the Director and Principal Lawyer at Spectrum Lawyers & Consultants, with extensive experience in construction and business law. Her legal career commenced at Clayton Utz, one of Australia's leading law firms, where she advanced from Article Clerk to Senior Associate in the Construction & Major Projects team over nine years. To further refine her expertise, Donna completed a diploma in Construction Law. Her career path then led her to in-house positions as Legal Counsel at Burbank and subsequently at Carlisle Homes for six years. In 2018, she joined Simonds Group as General Counsel and Assistant Company Secretary, shortly thereafter becoming the Company Secretary. That same year, she completed the Foundations of Directorship Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Donna's commitment to construction law inspired her to establish Spectrum Lawyers & Consultants, where she focuses on dispute resolution and developing strategies to navigate industry challenges. Beyond her legal practice, Donna is devoted to social change initiatives. In May 2020, she became the Legal Director at Friend In Me, a not-for-profit dedicated to promoting social inclusion and kindness among children. Through various events and workshops, she collaborates with organisations to make a tangible impact, empowering children to embrace their uniqueness and build confidence for the future.
