Clarrisa Moore is a Director who joined the firm in 2007 while pursuing a dual degree in Law and Humanities at Queensland University of Technology. Clarrisa was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 2010 and the High Court of Australia in 2011. Her practice areas encompass property, business, litigation and court disputes, as well as planning and environment law. Clarrisa has been involved in numerous rural property transactions, including sales and purchases, water licence transfers, water allocations, and road corridor permits. She provides detailed guidance on government compliance matters, with particular attention to regulations under the Environmental Protection Agency. Clarrisa has considerable experience negotiating land-related agreements and advises on renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, and hydropower developments, as well as carbon offset agreements. She approaches each matter with an understanding that each property has unique characteristics and takes the time to learn how the landowner operates their property and business to deliver tailored advice that aligns with their specific needs. As an Approved Advisor accredited by QRIDA under the Carbon Farming Advice Rebate Program, Clarrisa is qualified to provide expert advice on carbon offset agreements and the Land Restoration Fund. This role requires detailed knowledge of the long-term legal and practical implications involved in carbon offset projects. Her extensive experience includes negotiating mining and resource agreements with prominent companies including Hancock Coal, Queensland Coking Coal, Wilton and Fairhill Coking Coal, Xstrata, BMA/BHP Billiton, Waratah, Powerlink, Glencore, Invictus, Acciona Energy, Cockatoo Coal, Westside, and QGC/OME Resources. Clarrisa has also represented landowners affected by major infrastructure projects such as the Adani Mining rail line and the proposed Hancock Coal (GVK) and Aurizon rail lines.
