Michael Small is the Director leading both the Family & Relationship team and the Business & Estate Planning team. He brings extensive experience across family law, taxation law, and business law. Michael is consistently acknowledged by his peers and legal industry directories, featuring prominently in Leading Family Law Firms – Gold Coast and Leading High-Value Complex Property & Commercial Matters Lawyers – Regional Queensland. His recognition includes listings in the Doyles Guide as a Leading Family Lawyer on the Gold Coast over multiple years from 2014 to 2023. He also served as President of the Gold Coast Law Association. Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and has been admitted as a Solicitor in both Queensland and New South Wales since 1991. He has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Law and maintains accreditation in Family Law. As a Chartered Tax Adviser, Michael integrates tax considerations into comprehensive legal strategies, supported by collaboration with a dedicated tax team.
