Redmond Jones

Redmond Jones is a Director at Simpson Quinn Lawyers, having joined the firm in 2019 and became a Principal in 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (1st Class) from Victoria University of Wellington, awarded in 2012, and was admitted to the New Zealand roll of solicitors in 2013. Before relocating to Queensland, Redmond worked as a solicitor in a commercial litigation role in Auckland. He subsequently took up a position as an Associate at an international Legal500 firm in Doha, Qatar. Following this, he was employed at the Brisbane office of another international firm prior to moving to the Sunshine Coast. Redmond moved to Queensland in 2017 and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, and as a legal practitioner on the roll of the High Court of Australia. His experience encompasses commercial litigation, construction disputes, insolvency and debt recovery, as well as family law and de facto matters. Outside of his professional commitments, Redmond enjoys spending time with his young family and pursuing interests such as basketball and kitesurfing.
