David Schier

He is recognised for his promptness and meticulous attention to detail, always placing client service at the forefront. David believes in early engagement in issues management to establish a strategic advantage and is committed to building strong client relationships based on trust and mutual respect. David’s legal experience spans a wide range of areas, including contract and civil disputes, commercial litigation, court and tribunal appearances, criminal, intervention and employment law matters, and defending prosecutions initiated by government authorities such as WorkSafe and VicRoads. He is also experienced in wills and powers of attorney, deceased estate disputes, sport and school law, and defamation matters. Before pursuing a career in law, David held leadership roles outside the legal field, including serving as CEO of a national sporting organisation in rowing and working as a project manager for a Victorian Water Authority. He is an ex-serviceman in the Royal Australian Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran. His varied background, which began as an apprentice baker, informs his practical and grounded approach to legal practice.
