Michael Scherini is the Principal Lawyer and Managing Director of Scherini Lawyers. He holds accreditation as a Specialist in Commercial Litigation Law from the Law Institute of Victoria and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator. His practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, offering clients expert guidance through complex legal challenges. Michael completed his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) after undertaking an intensive program of 32 law subjects over four years. Throughout his career, he has gained experience across various roles before dedicating himself to commercial law and litigation. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria, the High Court of Australia, and has qualifications to operate across all Australian States, Territories and Federal Jurisdictions. Drawing on extensive experience handling complex legal matters within multiple firms, Michael applies a practical and commercial approach to his work. He aims to deliver effective outcomes with minimal disruption to clients’ businesses or personal matters. His expertise spans a broad range of commercial, property, employment, and litigation issues, including drafting and negotiating agreements and resolving disputes through court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. He is a skilled advocate who focuses on negotiating and litigating efficiently to achieve timely and appropriate resolution of disputes in courts, commissions, and tribunals. Committed to giving back, Michael is actively involved in pro bono work, providing assistance to individuals in crisis, including survivors of serious domestic violence who may lack other support. As founder of Scherini Lawyers, Michael established the firm to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving justice system and modern client expectations.
