Elyse Wright

Elyse is a dedicated legal professional practising exclusively in Family Law at Sayer Jones, where she has been an integral part of the team since 2021. After being admitted as a lawyer in 2023, Elyse has applied her expertise to various facets of Family Law, with a keen focus on complex parenting matters. Her admission to practice extends to both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria, bolstering her ability to provide comprehensive guidance to her clients. Elyse's approach to Family Law is enriched by her prior experience in both administrative and paralegal capacities. Her work with the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and Brimbank Community Legal Centre has enabled her to interact with and advocate for individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. This broad engagement has refined her capacity to handle the emotional and procedural challenges her clients face during separation and family disputes. In addition to her career in Family Law, Elyse possesses a distinct set of skills in contractual law, developed during an internship at Oxford Heartbeat in London, a neurovascular research and product development company. This diverse experience complements her legal practice and provides a well-rounded legal acumen. Elyse is also active in the legal community as a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Women Lawyers, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. Her commitment to the profession was further evident in 2021 when she served as a Young Lawyer’s Ambassador for the Law Institute of Victoria, showcasing her dedication to the legal field and her continuous pursuit of professional growth. Elyse holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Global Studies from Australian Catholic University, embodying a global perspective in her practice.
