About Gayle
Gayle McKenzie was admitted to the legal profession in February 2017, bringing with her a wealth of experience gained from a sixteen-year career in the medical industry prior to practising law. In addition to her legal practice, Gayle contributed to academia in 2022 as a lecturer at the University of Technology, where she taught Medicine and Law. Her broad professional background enriches her approach to legal practice, allowing her to offer advice that is both practical and grounded in a deep appreciation of the law. Gayle believes the primary role of a solicitor is to minimise conflict and deliver practical, timely solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances. In 2021, she established Sapphire Legal, a boutique firm built on the principle of providing personalised legal services. Clients choosing Gayle benefit from her commitment to treating each individual as a person first, rather than a file number, and from her ability to focus on their needs without the pressures of billable hour targets common at larger firms. This model allows for a more client-centred experience and promotes quality service. A strong advocate for alternative dispute resolution, Gayle encourages the use of mediation, negotiation, arbitration and collaborative law where appropriate, aiming to resolve matters efficiently and with minimal adversarial impact.
