Steve Hodgson

Steve Hodgson is a Senior Associate at Salerno Law and leads the firm’s Estates team. He has a broad range of experience across all Australian states and territories, reflecting his comprehensive knowledge in various areas of law. With a strong focus on Industrial Relations law, Steve has skillfully drafted, reviewed and negotiated a wide variety of commercial agreements. These include employment and contractor agreements, share sale agreements, terms and conditions documents, waivers and disclaimers. He regularly advises employers and employees on post-employment restrictions, such as non-compete, non-solicitation and intellectual property clauses, assessing their validity and enforceability. Steve’s experience extends to guiding small and medium-sized businesses through employment-related legal issues. He provides practical advice on the rights, obligations and risks involved in terminating employees and contractors, managing redundancies, and navigating the associated legal implications. He has represented clients in matters brought under the Fair Work Act, including unfair dismissal and general protections applications.
