Josh Watts

Josh Watts, the principal of our firm, brings a comprehensive blend of legal and business acumen to his practice. Admitted to the practice of law in 2000, Josh is authorised to appear in the Supreme Court of NSW, the Federal Court, and the High Court of Australia. He is also a respected member of the Law Society of NSW. Josh has an extensive background as a senior lawyer, having honed his expertise at Allens, as well as through significant roles as in-house counsel with Accenture and Telstra Business and Government. These roles have seen him advising on and meticulously drafting some of the market's most intricate service, IT, and outsourcing contracts. Further complementing his legal proficiency is Josh's strategic business leadership experience. Having held senior executive positions at Canon Australia, Harbour IT, and Canon Business Services, Josh led these companies through mergers and acquisitions and continuous revenue growth, equipping him with a unique perspective on aligning legal insights with business strategies. His deep-rooted involvement in the Australian technology sector over the last decade underscores his capability in this field. Beyond his legal and business roles, Josh actively contributes to the community. He serves as a Non-Executive Director and is a member of the Governance, Risk and Finance Committee for The Thin Green Line Foundation, an international charity. This role highlights his commitment to governance and risk management in the not-for-profit sector.
