Kashaya Kuemmel

Kashaya Kuemmel is a dedicated family lawyer with extensive experience in all areas of family law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Arts, majoring in Sociology, from the University of Wollongong, and completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University in Canberra. Kashaya began her legal career under the guidance of experienced mentors Luciana and Tiana, before joining Rossi Simicic in 2014. She advises on matters including divorce, property settlement for matrimonial, de facto and same-sex relationships, spousal maintenance, and parenting and children's issues. Kashaya has developed a strong focus on complex parenting disputes, particularly those involving allegations of substance use, family violence, mental health challenges, and cases where the relationship with a child has significantly deteriorated. When negotiations reach an impasse, Kashaya is skilled in litigation, handling relocation disputes, recovery orders, contravention applications, final hearings, and appeals. Outside of work, Kashaya is an animal enthusiast and often brings her rescue dog, who is affectionately known in the firm as the Chief Wellbeing Officer, to the office.
