Margaret Coleman

Margaret-Ann Coleman has over 30 years of legal experience. She began her career in the legal profession as a Legal Secretary before advancing to Paralegal. Alongside her work, she completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English, followed by a Bachelor of Laws degree, which enabled her admission as a solicitor. Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development, Margaret-Ann holds Applied Masters of Law degrees in both Family Law and Wills & Estates. Margaret-Ann practices extensively in family law, handling complex parenting and property disputes in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. She is registered on the roll of solicitors for the High Court of Australia and regularly represents clients in mediations, mentions, directions hearings, and trials. Her approach is both compassionate and tenacious, focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. In addition to family law matters such as divorce, de facto relationship separations, parenting arrangements, property settlements, child support, and maintenance applications, Margaret-Ann also has considerable experience in Wills and Estates. She prepares simple and complex Wills, including mirror Wills and trusts, and manages matters involving estate litigation, family provision claims, contested probate, and applications under the Succession Act. She also represents clients before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal regarding reviews of Enduring Powers of Attorney and matters involving legal incapacity. Outside of her professional life, Margaret-Ann is a dedicated family person with four adult children and two grandchildren, and she enjoys ballroom dancing in her spare time.
