Petru Roman

Mr Petru Roman is the Principal Solicitor at Roman Lawyers, which he established in September 2004. With admissions to the Supreme Court of Victoria, the High Court of Australia, and the Supreme Court of Queensland, Mr Roman’s practice encompasses a wide range of legal fields, including criminal law, family law, property law, and wills and estates. Mr Roman's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws from James Cook University, achieved in 1996. He furthered his education with a Master of Economics from Seoul National University in 2003, the same year he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology. To complement his practical legal skills, Mr Roman completed the Bar Reader’s Course at Queensland University of Technology in July 2009. His legal career includes valuable experience at B & H Solicitors, where he supported the principal solicitor across various domains such as negligence, family, criminal, property, and commercial law. At Sawford & Voll Lawyers, Mr Roman honed his skills in legal research and procedural tasks, including document filings and court proceedings. Beyond his professional commitments, Mr Roman has contributed extensively to community legal services. Between 2010 and May 2012, he volunteered at the Casey Cardinia Community Legal Service, advising clients on general legal issues. Earlier, from 2005 to 2008, he volunteered with the Eastern Community Legal Service, dedicating time to advise clients at community outreach programs and the Ringwood Magistrates Court, particularly in the intervention orders jurisdiction. His commitment to the legal community also saw him volunteer between 1998 and 1999 at the Townsville Community Legal Service, where he engaged in client interviewing, legal research, and preparing appeals for administrative tribunals.
