James Dirrssa

James relocated to Cairns from Brisbane during his final year of university to join the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as an Associate. After two years in Cairns as an Associate and then working in private practice as a Law Clerk, James joined Richardson Murray’s Family Law team on the Gold Coast in 2025. Admitted as a lawyer in 2024, James has focused exclusively on family law, gaining experience in parenting, property settlements, spousal maintenance, and financial agreements. James is passionate about family law and brings a practical and empathetic approach to assisting clients through challenging times. Outside of work, you’ll find James running, at the gym, cooking, hiking, or spending quality time with family and friends.
