Kerry Attwill

Kerry Attwill has been a valued member of Rees R & Sydney Jones since her admission as a Solicitor in 2005. Her commitment to the firm and her clients has been a hallmark of her professional journey. Under the guidance of former partner Gerard Houlihan, Kerry developed her expertise across both Commercial Law and Wills & Estates, providing clients with a broad spectrum of legal services. In 2012, she was appointed Partner, reflecting her dedication and the significant contributions she has made to the firm. Kerry’s leadership qualities were further recognised in July 2025 when she became Managing Partner, a role in which she continues to exemplify the firm’s values of commitment, growth and excellence. Originally from Tully in North Queensland, Kerry has settled in Rockhampton with her husband and twin daughters. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and cooking with fresh produce grown on her acreage. Kerry also actively supports the community, having served on multiple not-for-profit boards, including Capricornia Training Company/MRAEL and St Ursula’s College Yeppoon, completing full terms on both. Kerry’s legal expertise encompasses succession planning, business and commercial disputes, commercial conveyancing, Wills and estate management including contesting wills, enduring powers of attorney, general corporate law, leasing, partnerships, trusts and structures, as well as transfer of equity. Her well-rounded experience ensures clients receive tailored and practical advice across these areas.
