Shane Hough

Shane Hough is a Senior Associate leading the Criminal Law and Child Protection department. With 24 years of experience as a Barrister in private practice, Shane has extensive experience representing clients across a wide spectrum of criminal matters. His practice ranges from straightforward driving offences in the Magistrates Court to complex and serious charges in the District and Supreme Courts. Clients value Shane’s comprehensive understanding of the law and his unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes. He is well regarded by members of the judiciary for his skilled advocacy and professionalism. In addition to criminal matters, Shane represents clients before the Mental Health Review Tribunal and acts as a Separate Representative appointed by the Court to safeguard the interests of children involved in child protection proceedings. He also appears as a Solicitor Advocate in domestic violence matters in the Magistrates Court. Outside of his legal work, Shane is actively involved in community fundraising and enjoys poultry keeping.
