Kirstin Fulcher

Kirstin Fulcher brings nearly two decades of experience to her role as Special Counsel, focusing on complex equity and estate disputes. Her approach is both strategic and pragmatic, with a reputation for depth of technical knowledge, clear and practical advice, and an ability to secure favourable outcomes—whether through decisive litigation or negotiated settlement. Kirstin holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Sociology), complemented by a Master of Laws (Applied Laws) specialising in Wills and Estates. She is also a recognised Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), reflecting her expertise in this field. Her extensive experience includes acting in estate matters across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, dealing with family provision claims, contested probate, and high-value estate disputes. Earlier in her career, Kirstin practised as a generalist in regional New South Wales, advising on a wide range of matters including criminal law, family law, property law, civil litigation, commercial law, and wills and estates. This broad foundation enables her to approach complex issues from multiple legal perspectives. In addition to litigation, Kirstin provides advice on estate planning, particularly where complex disputes are anticipated or intersect with ongoing litigation. She frequently works alongside Court-appointed administrators and has managed significant estate cases, such as Alexakis v Masters (No 2) [2023] NSWSC 509 and its successful appeals. Kirstin is dedicated to legal education and mentoring. She has lectured in Succession Law for the University of Sydney Law Extension Committee, served as an examiner for the Legal Profession Admission Board, and actively mentors junior lawyers through the NSW Law Society’s Early Career Lawyer Mentoring Program and within her firm. Beyond her legal career, Kirstin is a founding executive board member of Matrescence Birthing Centre on the Gold Coast, a level 2 private hospital currently in development.
