About Ella
Ella Thomas is a seasoned Senior Associate admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2014. Holding dual degrees in Law and Arts (Psychology) from James Cook University, and having expanded her legal perspective internationally at the University of New Brunswick, Canada, Ella is well-equipped with a comprehensive understanding of both the legal and psychological elements that affect her clients. Her role as Associate to His Honour Judge Harrison at the District Court of Queensland, completed alongside her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University, provided her with substantial judicial insight early in her career. Since commencing her legal journey in family law in 2015, Ella has cultivated a deep interest in complex property and financial settlements. Relocating to the Gold Coast in 2017, she joined Quinn Family Law in 2019, where she continues to excel in delivering tailored family law advice. Ella’s approach is grounded in pragmatism and clarity, supporting her clients through challenging scenarios with strategic and informed guidance, committed to achieving resolutions that reflect their unique needs. Outside her professional commitments, Ella enjoys exploring southern Queensland and northern New South Wales with her family. Accompanied by her two dogs and surfboards, she takes full advantage of the natural beauty and recreational activities the region offers, adding balance and adventure to her life.
