Tom Portelli has been practising law since 1965, following his admission to practice in 1964 after graduating from Melbourne University. Throughout his extensive career, Tom has consistently operated from the same office, establishing a longstanding presence in the community. In addition to his legal practice, Tom served as a Senior Teaching Fellow at Monash University Law School for several years, demonstrating his commitment to legal education. In 2001, he was appointed as a Notary Public, further contributing to his professional qualifications. Tom’s legal expertise encompasses a broad range of areas including wills and probate matters, commercial business transactions such as sales and acquisitions, commercial leases, and property law. He is well-versed in conveyancing, strata subdivisions, and applications before the Land Titles Office. His considerable experience also extends to civil litigation across the Supreme Court, County Court, and Magistrates Court. Beyond his legal practice, Tom has been actively involved in the Clayton community, including his role with the Clayton Rotary Club. He adopts a pragmatic approach to legal matters, focusing on solutions that are both effective and cost-efficient for his clients.
