David Mazzeo

David is a Partner at Pointon Partners with over 20 years of professional experience in commercial and property law. He leads the firm's property and intellectual property practice groups, providing expert guidance across a diverse range of legal matters. David acts for both local and international clients, including major corporations, entrepreneurs, private and institutional lenders and borrowers, funds, property developers, and family businesses. His extensive practice covers property acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, owners corporation matters, covenants, large-scale residential developments, and construction transactions. He also advises on commercial, retail, and industrial leasing and resolves lease disputes. In addition, David handles property development, banking and finance matters such as loan origination and finance facility documentation, as well as private lending. He provides comprehensive and strategic advice during negotiations and assists with capital raising for projects, serving as a key advisor for major landowner projects and large subdivision developments. His expertise is further recognised through his role on the advisory board of a major Australian mortgage fund. David's commercial law practice includes business acquisitions and disposals, with a particular focus on the hospitality sector. David holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), as well as a Masters of Law from Monash University.
