About Perry
Perry Gouws is a solicitor with extensive experience in Australian immigration law. Beginning her legal career in South Africa, Perry worked closely with clients on various Points Based System visas, including partner, parent, and business visas. After relocating to Australia, she broadened her expertise to include complex onshore visa pathways and employer-sponsored migration matters. Before joining Playfair, Perry gained valuable experience in commercial and residential property law in New South Wales. She managed a wide range of property transactions such as residential conveyancing, sales and purchases, and remortgages. Perry holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of South Africa. Upon moving to Australia, she completed her Australian bridging studies at Bond University and subsequently earned her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2022. With more than ten years' experience working in immigration across both Australia and South Africa, Perry has represented clients from around the world, assisting individuals and businesses alike. She is known for her clear, approachable manner and her focus on delivering practical and cost-effective solutions. Outside of her legal career, Perry enjoys sharing her love of Italian cooking—rooted in her heritage—with family and friends. She is also an avid cyclist and animal enthusiast, and finds balance through outdoor activities. Perry’s commitment to precision and artistry is further reflected in her passion for playing the violin.
