Peter Evans

Peter Evans OAM is the principal and a notary public, bringing extensive experience in commercial law since his admission as a solicitor in 1969. He was a partner at Harris Wheeler from 1971 to 1986, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of commercial matters. Peter has provided legal counsel at a senior level for a diverse range of clients, including Newcastle City Council, Shortland Electricity, Hunter Presbytery of the Uniting Church, North New South Wales Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Australia, National Textiles Ltd., State Bank Ltd., Greater Building Society Ltd., Beneficial Finance, AGC Limited, Citibank Limited, ANZ Bank, and various other banks and financial institutions. His experience extends to representing both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous cases before the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Peter has also contributed to the business community through leadership roles, serving as a board member of the State Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a council member of the Newcastle Chamber of Manufactures, and past president of the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was the inaugural chairman of the Newcastle City Centre Committee and has held positions such as Deputy Chairman of GH Varley Pty. Ltd., board member of Newcastle & Hunter Business Chamber, and Honorary Solicitor.
