Samantha Long

Samantha Long serves as a Director and Senior Lawyer at Perth Family Lawyers, bringing a wealth of experience in family law to her clients. Samantha's career in family law traces back to 2007, and she has been an integral part of the Perth Family Lawyers team since 2013. Samantha's academic background is robust, having obtained a Bachelor of Legal Studies from Murdoch University in 2006. She further advanced her legal credentials by earning a Juris Doctor from the same institution in 2011. Her commitment to continued legal education is evident from her completion of a Master of Laws (LLM) in November 2016, a qualification she was awarded at a ceremony in Sydney in May 2017. Beginning her legal career while still in school, Samantha gained invaluable experience at a boutique firm concentrating exclusively on family law, where she honed her research skills and became intimately acquainted with Family Court procedures in Western Australia. Following her legal studies, she joined a large international law firm in their Perth office, contributing to the Family Law team as a graduate solicitor. After completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law in 2012, she was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court in June of that year. Her journey with Perth Family Lawyers commenced in April 2013. Throughout her career, Samantha has adeptly handled a diverse range of family law issues, including property settlements, parenting arrangements, de facto relationships, child support, spousal maintenance, restraining orders, and Hague Convention matters. Her approach is client-centric, focusing on resolving matters cost-effectively while ensuring her clients receive the highest standard of legal advice and care. Samantha actively contributes to the legal community as a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Law Society of Western Australia.
