Joseph Schepis

Joe is a seasoned legal professional with a deep-rooted connection to country Victoria. He embarked on his academic journey at Monash University, earning degrees in Economics in 1983 and Law in 1985. Upon his admission to the practice of law in March 1987, Joe dedicated his career exclusively to the field of Family Law. His commitment to this area of law was recognised in 1992 when he received accreditation as a Family Law Specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria. Since joining Pearsons in 1993, Joe has immersed himself in all facets of relationship breakdowns. His expertise extends to financial and property matters, including those involving complex company and trust structures, parenting arrangements, child support issues, and the array of challenges that surface upon the dissolution of relationships. Joe prides himself on his exceptional communication skills, adeptly translating complex legal concepts into terms that his clients can easily comprehend. His approach is client-focused, assuring individuals that he will guide them through challenging legal processes to achieve optimal results. Joe often uses the metaphor of a tunnel, reassuring clients that, despite the twists and turns, there is light at the end, and he is there to guide them through. An avid student of the law, Joe has pursued further education to enhance his expertise. In addition to his foundational degrees, he holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Law Mediation from La Trobe University, achieved in 2001, and a Master of Laws (Applied Law) from the College of Law, completed in 2015.
