Emily Austin

Emily has completed a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences, majoring in History and Anthropology at Sydney University in 2016. She then went on to complete a Juris Doctor at Macquarie University in 2021. Emily was admitted as a solicitor in August 2022. Since 2017, prior to joining the team at O’Loan Family Law, Emily exclusively worked in family law in a boutique law firm in Sydney’s CBD. Having specialised in the social sciences in her undergraduate degree, Emily is passionate about the human connection between people and the law. She aspires to create a calm, patient and supportive environment for clients in what is a very challenging time of their lives. Emily is confident to deliver pragmatic advice about both property and parenting matters and has been involved in numerous alternative dispute resolution processes in order to settle these matters without the need to resort to litigation. Emily goal is to see clients finalise their disputes as efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible. When Emily is not working, she has a keen passion for all things sport and you’ll catch her at the local netball courts on the weekend! Her coffee order is an oat cappuccino (and multiple a day).
