Michael O’Connor

Michael O’Connor is a consultant with more than 40 years of legal experience. Formerly the Director of O’Connor, Ruddy & Garrett (previously Gabriel Ruddy & Garrett), Michael passed on the leadership to Chris in 2015. His extensive background offers valuable insight across a broad range of legal matters. Michael's practice spans commercial litigation, including professional negligence claims, wills and estates law, commercial conveyancing, and equine law. While he has stepped back from day-to-day business operations, he remains a trusted advisor to clients seeking seasoned legal guidance. Outside the office, Michael enjoys spending time watching his racehorses compete and supporting his grandchildren in their weekend sports. He is a member of The Queensland Law Society, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the legal profession.
