About Christopher
Christopher O’Connor was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2007 and has since developed extensive experience in estate law. In 2016, he took over leadership of the firm from his father, who had served as Director for 35 years, continuing the legacy of trusted legal service. Christopher provides advice across a comprehensive range of estate matters. His expertise includes estate planning, such as drafting wills and establishing testamentary trusts, as well as estate administration, where he assists executors, administrators and beneficiaries. He also advises on both contentious and non-contentious estate disputes, covering family provision applications, solemn form proceedings, and issues relating to the interpretation or rectification of wills. Additionally, Christopher offers guidance on guardianship and administration matters, including enduring powers of attorney, QCAT proceedings, and support for attorneys, guardians and administrators regarding the exercise of their duties. His experience also extends to superannuation disputes. Beyond his legal practice, Christopher is deeply committed to community involvement. He currently chairs a local community group and successfully led a three-year campaign to secure the transfer of a $15 million parcel of state-owned land for community parkland, negotiating with both state and local governments to achieve this outcome. Outside of work, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife Fiona and their three young children.
