About Alicia
Alicia Floyer is the Principal Solicitor and founder of Next Legal and Conveyancing, established in 2018. From a young age, Alicia demonstrated ambition and dedication, founding the firm at just 25 years old with a vision to provide a modern, boutique legal service that prioritises client needs through a combination of personalised attention and innovative, technology-driven solutions. Under her leadership, the firm has experienced rapid and significant growth, reflecting the high regard in which she is held by clients and professional partners alike. Alicia is a lifelong Novocastrian with a focus on property law, conveyancing, wills and estates. Her local expertise is complemented by a commitment to accessibility, often making herself available outside normal business hours to accommodate the fast-moving nature of property transactions. This client-centred approach has earned her and the firm consistent positive testimonials and referrals. Her legal career began in 2012, culminating in a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology from the University of New England in 2016, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law. Alicia gained early leadership experience managing a legal team at an established firm and later led the development of a property law and estate planning division at another practice, which grew rapidly under her direction. Alicia’s entrepreneurial spirit and leadership qualities have been recognised through various awards. She is also an active speaker and mentor within the Hunter business and legal communities, sharing her experiences at events such as the Hunter Business Chamber’s Women in Business program and local high school career days. She is dedicated to supporting young people in their career pathways and regularly mentors solicitors and professionals from other firms. Community engagement is a core value at Next Legal and Conveyancing, with ongoing support for local charities, including domestic and family violence shelters such as Jenny’s Place. Alicia’s personal experience as a mother since 2023 has further deepened her understanding of the importance of home and family, enriching the compassion she brings to her legal practice. Alicia is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
