Michael Nash

Michael Nash is a partner at the Budgewoi office, bringing over 30 years of comprehensive legal experience to his role. Having grown up in a family deeply rooted in law—his father Ron Nash having founded the practice in 1957—Michael began his legal journey early, joining the family firm as a law clerk in 1980. After completing his studies at Macquarie University and the College of Law, he was admitted to practice in 1984 and swiftly became a partner. Michael’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of legal matters, including property law across residential, commercial, and rural sectors. He has guided clients through complex business transactions, family law concerns, wills and estate administration, including contested estates under the Succession Act. His experience also extends to commercial litigation, debt recovery, personal injury claims, and areas such as intellectual property and administrative law. Recognised by his colleagues for his commitment, energy, and advocacy skills, Michael is a confident courtroom practitioner. He has successfully represented clients in criminal defence, civil litigation, and has a strong record in negotiating settlements. Complementing his litigation work, Michael is a nationally accredited mediator and Family Law Dispute Resolution Practitioner. Aside from his professional pursuits, Michael enjoys hiking and once completed a 190-mile trek across England.
