Gillian Nairn is the Founder and Principal Consultant with a comprehensive legal and governance background, spanning over two decades. Initially, she built a solid legal foundation practising as a lawyer for eight years, focusing on commercial litigation, insolvency, and employment law. Her keen interest in corporate governance led her to further her studies and qualify as a chartered company secretary. Gillian offers extensive company secretarial services, having worked with a diverse array of industry sectors, including healthcare, mining and resources, manufacturing, professional services, and tertiary education. This diverse experience enables her to provide insightful and practical governance advice tailored to each industry's unique needs. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, alongside a postgraduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance, where she achieved National DUX in Corporate Financial Management. Gillian is a recognised Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and The Chartered Governance Institute. She also holds a current practising certificate in New South Wales, underscoring her commitment to maintaining high professional standards in her field.
