Alex Pretorius

Alex Pretorius leads the Property, Migration Law, and Wills and Deceased Estates departments at the firm. He brings extensive experience from his previous role as a Director managing the property division at a Johannesburg-based legal practice before relocating to Australia. Alex completed his legal studies at the University of Pretoria, University of South Africa, and the University of New England in Armidale. He has been practising law since 2000 and holds admissions as a Lawyer and Notary Public in the High Court of South Africa, as well as a Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland. He is also a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 095 7711). Beyond his professional commitments, Alex actively contributes to the Bundaberg community, serving on the boards of several not-for-profit organisations. He holds roles including Vice President of the Edon Place Domestic and Family Violence Centre and leadership positions within Rotary Club initiatives and medical aid programs. Alex prioritises his family and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through triathlon participation, camping, scuba diving, and rugby union. He also has a keen interest in theatre, socialising, and wine appreciation.
