About Greg
Greg is the founding Principal Solicitor of Moin Morris Schaefer, bringing over 25 years of legal experience to his practice in Armidale. Prior to establishing the firm, he worked in Sydney with a leading national law firm and gained international experience in London. Greg holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, complemented by qualifications in Arts and Education. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of legal areas, including commercial law, intellectual property, wills and estates, enduring guardianships and powers of attorney, family law, and property law. Greg’s comprehensive knowledge equips him to provide well-rounded legal advice tailored to his clients’ diverse needs. Greg also served for five years as a Senior Member (Legal) of the Guardianship Division of the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, where he was responsible for delivering judgments on matters involving powers of attorney, guardianship orders, and end-of-life decisions. His contribution to the legal community is further reflected in his role as a mediator for general and family law disputes. Outside of his legal career, Greg is actively involved in cultural and educational organisations. He is Chairman of the New England Conservatorium of Music, a director of St Albert’s College at the University of New England, and a Director of the Fleece to Fashion Awards. He enjoys travelling, cooking, and classical music, and maintains an active lifestyle. Greg is married to Anne and is a proud father of four children.
