About Bryan
Bryan Mitchell is the managing director of Mitchells Solicitors Australia Pty Ltd, with offices located in Moorooka, Brisbane City, Aspley and Maroochydore. He holds degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Queensland and has further completed postgraduate studies in Estate Planning and Wills and Estates at Queensland University of Technology and the College of Law. Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1992, Bryan has developed a career focused predominantly on Wills, Estates, Trusts and Elder Law. He assists clients with estate planning, administration of estates, trust matters, elder law issues, and disputes concerning trusts or estates. Bryan is particularly committed to supporting parents of children with disabilities in their estate planning needs. His professional expertise has been acknowledged by the Queensland Law Society, where he is one of only a select number of lawyers accredited in Succession Law. Additionally, Bryan and Mitchells Solicitors have received high rankings in Doyle’s Guide, reflecting strong peer recognition in the fields of wills, estates and succession planning. Bryan is an experienced public speaker who has presented at significant industry forums including the Queensland Law Society, the Law Society of South Australia, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in Brisbane and London, the Tax Institute, CPA Australia’s Hong Kong office, LexisNexis, Television Education Network and Legalwise. He has also led workshops for the College of Law. He has held leadership roles within the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, including as Chair of its Queensland Branch and currently serves as Vice Chair of STEP Australia. Bryan is a Fellow of the Tax Institute and participates in committees focussed on succession law within the Queensland Law Society. Outside of his professional work, Bryan has contributed to community organisations through board service and shared his knowledge as a sessional lecturer in Business Law at Christian Heritage College. He enjoys singing, fitness, camping and spending time with his wife Kym and their four children.
