Graeme Heckenberg

Graeme Heckenberg is Special Counsel at Southern Waters Legal, bringing over 25 years of experience in legal practice in Sydney. He holds a degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales and is admitted to practice before both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Graeme’s expertise encompasses inheritance law, contested wills, deceased estate litigation, and resolving related disputes. He regularly represents clients in complex estate matters before the Supreme Court of NSW, drawing on his extensive courtroom experience. In addition to his solicitor work, Graeme serves as a Notary Public and Accredited Mediator, enhancing his ability to facilitate dispute resolution. He has also acted as an Arbitrator in the District and Local Courts of New South Wales. A founding member of the City of Sydney Law Society and an active member of the Law Society of New South Wales, Graeme is well regarded within the legal community. He joined Southern Waters Legal as Special Counsel in July 2024, contributing his depth of knowledge to support clients with their estate and commercial law needs.
