About Robin
Robin Galpin is a senior solicitor with extensive experience spanning both the United Kingdom and Australia. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Liverpool in 1982 and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1985 after completing his articles. Following a career in general practice, including a partnership in a Newcastle firm, Robin migrated to Australia and joined Michael Paterson & Associates in 2001. He was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in December 2002. Robin’s practice covers a broad range of commercial and property law matters. His work includes notarial services, drafting and advising on wills, estate planning, and discretionary testamentary trusts. He is experienced in preparing and negotiating partnership, shareholder, and unit holder agreements, as well as terms of trade. Robin also handles commercial leasing arrangements, including leases, assignments, extensions, and variations. Additionally, he assists with business buy/sell contracts involving plant, equipment, and other assets. In matters relating to estates, Robin has expertise in probate, letters of administration, and winding up estates. He prepares enduring powers of attorney and guardianship documentation, and advises on trust deeds and their variations. His practice also extends to information technology and intellectual property matters, providing legal advice, document preparation, and application assistance in these fields. Outside of his legal work, Robin is actively involved in the community as a judiciary member for Football West and Junior Rugby WA. He enjoys following football, rugby, and cricket in his leisure time.
