Allison Caputo serves as the Head of Family Law and Dispute Resolution at Michael Lynch Family Lawyers, where she brings a wealth of experience and a sophisticated understanding of the family law landscape. Her career in family law began in 2000, working as a Judicial Associate in the Family Court of Australia in Sydney. Following her admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2006, Allison joined The Legal Aid Commission of NSW before relocating to Queensland. In Queensland, her roles in private practice included working at a top-tier boutique family law firm on the Gold Coast and later with a leading national firm in Brisbane. Her career took an influential turn in 2021 when she became Practice Director at Women's Legal Service Queensland, followed by her appointment as a Judicial Registrar in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Allison is not only recognised for her legal acumen but also for her commitment to mediation and resolving disputes outside of courtroom settings. She holds a Master of Applied Laws (Family) from the College of Law and is a Family Law Accredited Specialist, a testament to her expertise and dedication to the field. Her service as a Councillor on the Queensland Law Society Council underscores her leadership within the legal community.
