Anthony Mirabelli

Anthony Mirabelli has been practising law since his admission in 1976 and is the Principal of the firm. He brings extensive experience in managing legal practice and representing clients in a variety of legal matters. Anthony provides comprehensive commercial advice to companies, partnerships and individuals, with considerable experience in the franchising sector. He has acted for major franchisors, master franchisees—both local and international—and franchisees across multiple industries, including food and trade. He also leads the Family Law Division, working alongside Bryarne Weir to assist clients in all aspects of family law. This includes property disputes, children’s matters and family violence applications. The division prioritises achieving the best outcomes for clients, often through early alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation. Family law cases often involve complex and unique circumstances. Anthony utilises his legal knowledge and skills in negotiation, mediation and client communication to effectively resolve disputes. He encourages resolution without litigation where possible but has extensive experience guiding clients through the litigation process when necessary. Anthony acts both as solicitor advocate and as instructing solicitor working with Counsel. He also represents clients in conferences and mediations. In addition to commercial and family law, Anthony has a longstanding practice in criminal law. He has represented clients in a range of offences from traffic and drink driving matters to drug charges and domestic violence orders. His work spans all courts and jurisdictions, including serious criminal cases in major courts. Anthony is frequently present at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court and is well acquainted with local prosecutors and magistrates.
