Michael Jaloussis

Michael Jaloussis serves as the Managing Principal at the firm, where he attentively oversees daily operations to maintain exemplary client service and legal standards. With a career spanning over 40 years, Michael's journey began when he joined McNally’s as a graduate on 22 June 1981. His extensive practice encompasses various legal areas, with a prominent focus on Industrial and Employment Law. Michael has adeptly represented clients in critical cases concerning issues such as unfair dismissals, sham contracts, unfair contracts, retrenchments, underpayment of wages and entitlements, as well as non-payment of superannuation and other statutory entitlements. Beyond his expertise in employment matters, Michael possesses broad legal experience. He has advised and represented clients in Coronial Inquests, Commissions of Inquiry, criminal hearings, and defamation cases, as well as in matters involving wills and deceased estates, income protection, disability claims, superannuation claims, and general litigation, including commercial disputes. His representation extends to numerous Police Officers and Correctional Officers in disciplinary and criminal contexts. Michael has personally advocated cases before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, the Chief Industrial Magistrate’s Court, NSW local courts, Fair Work Australia, the Fair Work Commission, and the former Australian Industrial Relations Commission. His courtroom experience extends to appearances in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme and District Courts of NSW, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the NSW Industrial Court. A member of the Industrial Relations Society of NSW, the Law Society of NSW, and the Law Council of Australia, Michael is deeply engaged in the legal community.
