David Trainor

David Trainor serves as the Principal of our firm and leads the Personal Injury Division with distinction. Joining W. G. McNally & Co as a legal clerk during its inception in August 1977, David was admitted as a legal practitioner a year later and has dedicated over four decades to advocating for injured workers and the public. His proficiency spans across handling cases related to work accidents, motor vehicle incidents, public liability, and medical or professional negligence claims, all resulting in significant compensation for his clients. One of Australia's pioneering figures in the field, David was accredited as a Specialist in Personal Injury Law in 1994 and is acknowledged by the Law Society of NSW as an examiner for those pursuing this accreditation. Throughout his career, he has managed a multitude of complex cases, particularly dust disease claims such as asbestosis and mesothelioma. His extensive knowledge covers Comcare, Workers Compensation, and the specialised area of Seafarer’s Compensation claims. A committed member of the Law Society of NSW, David continues to influence the field of personal injury law while his leadership and expertise remain invaluable to the firm and its clients.
