Jo-anne McGrath

Jo-anne McGrath is an associate lawyer with extensive experience in commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution. She joined the firm in 2004 and has since established a strong reputation for her practical approach and commitment to achieving outcomes that serve her clients’ interests while balancing the concerns of all parties involved. Originally from far north Queensland, Jo-anne relocated to Tasmania in 1994 to pursue her law degree. Though initially inspired by the ideal of defending the unjustly accused, her focus has evolved towards commercial matters. She manages a broad range of commercial law issues including leases and licences, the sale and purchase of businesses, trusts, partnerships, companies, as well as shareholder agreements and disputes. Jo-anne’s familiarity with the North West Coast allows her to provide tailored advice to clients in the region. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, following cricket, AFL and other sports, and watching classic feel-good Christmas films. She is a member of the Tasmanian Bar Association and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
