Danny Bricknell

Danny Bricknell is a seasoned solicitor, admitted to practice in 1985, with a wealth of experience spanning numerous areas of law. Over the years, Danny has honed his advocacy skills by representing clients in various legal forums, including the Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, NSW Court of Appeal, Local Court of NSW, Coroners Court, and the Family Court of Australia. Having served as a Councillor for The Law Society of NSW, Danny's legal acumen is well recognised within the legal community. His career is marked by significant case involvements that showcase his dedication and expertise. Notably, he successfully defended a protracted defamation case in the New South Wales Supreme Court that extended over a decade and included an appeal to the High Court of Australia. Additionally, Danny led the prosecution of a pioneering class action lawsuit on behalf of 28 households against a local council for constructing on an environmentally contaminated site, a case heralded as the first of its kind in Australia. Danny's proficiency is further exemplified by his representation of a client in the Land & Environment Court of NSW regarding illegal waste dumping, as well as his involvement in various serious criminal prosecutions. Before founding Bricknell Legal, Danny was a Partner at Osborne Bricknell Howell, a respected firm in the northern suburbs for over twenty years. His legal journey commenced in Armidale, where he practiced as a country lawyer, serving a diverse clientele throughout the New England district.
