Steven McAneny

Steven McAneny is the Principal at Mac Lawyers, bringing over thirty years of legal experience across a diverse range of practice areas. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance and Systems (BComm). Steven is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. Over the past eighteen years, Steven has focused his practice on estate disputes and Supreme Court family provision claims, as well as estate planning. Prior to this, he gained extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation. In addition to his core areas, Steven also provides services in conveyancing, property law, family law property settlements, leasing, commercial law, business law advice, contracts, and general litigation. Steven has a strong academic connection, having lectured at the University of Wollongong for ten years. He remains actively involved in mentoring students through the Legal Internship and Practical Legal Training programs and employs students on a part-time basis to support their development. Committed to community service, Steven is recognised by the Salvation Army as an Honorary Solicitor Member and supports various local charities and organisations. An avid sportsman, he has a long history of involvement in local soccer, including playing for several clubs and serving as Secretary for the Woonona Senior Soccer Club. He continues to contribute to the community through sponsorship of local sporting teams.
