Maureen Brazil

Maureen Brazil serves as the Principal Solicitor at M.C. Brazil Law and brings a wealth of experience and legal expertise to her role as a Consultant at LMN Lawyers. She is admitted to practise as a Solicitor in both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Maureen’s academic journey laid a strong foundation for her legal career. She possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Juris Doctor from Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia. Her comprehensive legal education also includes a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Arellano University in Manila and a further Bachelor of Laws from San Beda College of Law, along with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Legal Management from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008, Maureen initially began her legal career on the Gold Coast. Her career was launched with a Practical Legal Training position at Stacks/Gray Lawyers, where she developed her skills as a Junior Property lawyer. Her supervised legal training at a boutique firm on the Gold Coast further honed her expertise, particularly in the fields of Property Law and Conveyancing. In addition to her Australian qualifications, Maureen is a qualified lawyer in the Philippines, having successfully passed the Philippine Bar Exams administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. Her professional affiliations encompass the Queensland Law Society, Gold Coast District Law Association, the Filipino Australian Gold Coast Community, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, underscoring her dedication to the legal profession across borders. Before migrating to Australia, Maureen gained significant experience in the Philippines. She held the position of Presidential Staff Assistant at the Office of the President of the Philippines and served as a Legal Researcher at the legal department of Amalgamated Specialties Corporation (AMSPEC), recognised as a leading manufacturer of Crayola Crayons and office supplies in Asia. This diverse background enriches her practice, providing her with a broad perspective on domestic and international legal issues.
