Matt Windle

Matt Windle is a trusted advisor in business law with extensive experience across multiple legal disciplines. As a partner at MBA Lawyers, Matt brings more than two decades of legal practice backed by his accreditation as a Business Law Accredited Specialist by the Queensland Law Society since 2014. He provides clients with expert guidance in Commercial and Business Law, Franchising, Intellectual Property, and Sport Law, while also practising in Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. Matt’s expertise extends to emerging areas such as social media law, entrepreneur law, and legal support for start-ups. Matt graduated from Griffith University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business and was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 2004. After joining MBA Lawyers in 2010, he quickly established himself in the commercial and property teams before becoming a partner in 2015. Alongside his legal career, Matt has a strong connection to sport, particularly rugby union. He has played for prominent teams including the Queensland Reds and Western Force, captained the Gold Coast Breakers to a Queensland Premiership, and competed professionally in Japan. His commitment to rugby continues through his involvement with the Rugby Union Players Association and his role on Bond University’s Rugby Board. Matt is also a qualified Rugby Union Players Association Accredited Agent. Matt’s community engagement is demonstrated through his founding of The Pushup Tour, a charity initiative that raises funds for children’s organisations by matching each kilometre of the Tour de France with push-ups. This event has successfully raised over $100,000, reflecting Matt’s dedication to giving back.
